A LUX SIX-WEEK TRANSFORMATION
Luxurious fabrics, rugs, and wallpapers married with knock-out custom lighting and upholstery bring a layer of sophistication to Jewel Marlowe’s Hamptons Designer Showhouse.

This space is a lounge located off the primary bedroom. Since only the closest of friends and family would spend time in this room, she has named this space “The Nest” as a personal reminder to how fast her children are growing. She imagines a family snuggling before bed on the Benchmade Modern skirted sofa.

Jewel loves to utilize the art of repeating shapes and themes as means of storytelling and this room is no exception. An observant visitor will notice the use of ombre in the Stark Carpet, lichen art installation, and the over-scaled chandelier.

Additionally, to add a timeless touch, she employed the use of neoclassical themes in the molding, an antique Klismos chair, end tables, and greek key trim on the drapes.

The lush tree mural blurs the lines between inside and the gorgeous treeline outside.

It is no secret that animal prints are often a staple in Jewels’ designs. She is thrilled with her choice of non-traditional snake skin and red leopard velvet.

The red-malachite, AKA “Jewelachite”, doors add an extra layer of lux and balance with the exciting drapes on the other side of the room.

Jewel purposely chose not to adhere to the standard “Hamptons style”, however she did include this fun pair of photographs and and rattan sofa tables behind the sectional as a playful nod to the nearby beach.

Another theme is the use of “drippy shapes” as evidenced in the expertly executed valance and etherial chandelier.

The uniquely colored peacock speaks to the theme of “The Nest”, and reinforces hints of regency style.

The gorgeous mirror is purposely hung at a height to reflect views of the chandelier.

The drinks cabinet is a spectaular piece and the geometric handles are a repeat of the warm coffee table.

Jewel is honored and grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a prestigious event and thanks all of the hosts, construction crews, workrooms, helpers, team members, and partnering companies for their help. She literally couldn’t have done it without them.
