Updates for the Bathroom Primp and Pamper: Chinoiserie bathroom wallpaper, Modern lighting, Moulding and Paint

Wow!  I’ve been BUSY!  It”s hard to believe that in the last few days I have hired out an electrician, primed my walls, installed wallpaper, and started into the moulding and paint…Oh, and let my entire house fall apart in the process.  Check out al of the updates and see if you are as smitten as I am with the elegant bathroom wallpaper, lighting, moulding, and rug.

I hope it isn’t too much of a spoiler, but I HAVE to show you this elegant bathroom wallpaper from Fine and Dandy Co.  If you’re been following my Instagram stories over the last couple of months, you will know that I struggled to decide between two separate color ways…as shown in the image below.

In the end I chose wisely and went with the Paradis Wallpaper Marigold color way.  Oh…It’s even prettier in real life than I expected!

It’s sooooo sublime!

I mean….This is absolutely out of this world you guys!!!  To call Paradis Wallpaper a “wallpaper” is a bit of a misnomer. This is a commercial grade wall covering and the difference is really apples and oranges. The thickness, weight, and scale are exponentially larger and heavier than regular wallpaper. It’s about twice as wide as other wallpapers, so the scale is glorious.  Also, the quality is absolutely spectacular and the installation was easy. I am thrilled to have installed this elegant bathroom wallpaper in my little powder room.

Sometimes it’s hard to say goodbye, but let me tell you…letting go of a 90’s builder’s grade light fixture brought me zero tears.  Especially since I replaced it with this absolute statement maker.  Over-scaled and attention grabbing, our Hudson Valley Easton Pendant provides gorgeous light in our otherwise dark and dramatic bathroom.  I wanted a modern fixture to keep the space from feeling “stuffy”. The “honey dipper” shape is so much fun and the black finish is a nice anchor to the yellow paper.

Here is what it looks like from directly below.  Once the sink is installed this will be a tricky view to see. LOL

I’ve launched into hanging Metrie moulding but stopped after the 1-3/4″ Chair Rail Model # 1382497.  I think this will be an easier job once the sink is installed.  Until then, I’m struggling to know exactly how and where to install the Metrie Moulding 1-5/16″ Panel Model #1462354.  Don’t worry though, I’ll get it :).

See that cute 2×3 Anatolia Hand-Tufted Maze Area Rug From Kevin Francis Design?  I love it sooooo much!  It is thick, lush, and utterly chic and timeless.  I’m struggling to know if I should replace the floors, and if I do, will the new tile match….TBD on this decision.  Either way….the rug is spectacular.
